WHAT:
In celebration o International Coaching Week, the Adler School of Professional
Coaching launched the CAN Project: Coach Approach for Nonprofits. The CAN project
participant is selected through an application process open to all 501(c)3 nonprofit
organizations in the greater Phoenix area. During the project, the Adler School
partners with the chosen nonprofit to expand the organization’s capac-ity
and effectiveness. Adler’s award winning 2-day “Workplace Coaching
Skills for Leaders” program is customized for the organization. This is
followed by three months of individualized coaching services for the organization’s
board members, executives and management teams. Pro bono services offered by
the Adler School to the selected nonprofit are valued at $35,000-$45,000.
WHY:
Adler is committed to contributing to the local community by supporting the success
of a nonprofit organization’s mission.
HR Weekly says, “Recent studies
show… coaching to be the most effective means for achieving sustainable
growth, change and development in the individual, group and organization.” When
an organization’s leaders hit their own stride through coaching, and adopt
a coach-like style of management, performance and capacity throughout the organization
are dramatically expanded.
